The average age of the vehicle that circulates on our roads in Spain is about fourteen years, somewhat older than the average age of the car that circulates on European roads by a couple of years. The opposition leader has proposed removing cars that are more than ten years old. But the truth is that today's cars last longer and with good maintenance they should not be more dangerous for their occupants and other road users. In fact, it seems that car manufacturers are interested in making cars that are very durable.

Stellantis (grouper of Peugeot, Citroën, Opel, Fiat, Jeep and other brands) was the second largest vehicle seller in Spain in , and Renault the fourth.
