Design bidders face challenges that go beyond trying to outdo other teams with more beautiful designs. The documentation of a building does not always evolve with its extensions or renovations. This can lead to conflicting information and outdated, incomplete, or inaccurate reference materials. A good example of this incomplete documentation was the tender to remodel the National Theater of Chaillot. The theater was built between and and is a complex underground building with multiple spaces and rooms, for which the company Clé Millet received floor plans and some section cuts. When Paul began building a D model, the team concluded that the submitted plans did not accurately represent the building. However, Paul had a tool that helped him build an accurate picture of how the building worked, despite the flaws in the plans: SketchUp. "Constructing the object in D will help us understand that, 'well, on that floor, that specific element will be more structural because there is something else on top of it.
