The uncertain outcome of the elections: waiting for pacts to Luxembourg Email List govern as a minority
The general elections of July 23 have left a panorama of uncertainty: none of the main political blocs reaches an absolute majority. To invest Alberto Núñez Feijóo (PP) in a parliamentary minority, the PP will have to reach an agreement with Vox and, in addition, the PSOE will have to abstain from the vote, a highly unlikely scenario as it is far from Sánchez's will.

Pedro Sánchez could be sworn in as president , also with a parliamentary minority, if he gets the Catalan independence group Junts per Catalunya to abstain. Although this scenario is more likely, it will still be necessary to see if the PSOE is willing to accept what Junts asks of it in exchange.

The third possibility, once these two avenues have been exhausted, would be a repetition of the general elections .

Eliminating the Housing Law from Spanish legislation also eliminates the possibility of applying the measures in the autonomous communities that declare their municipalities as stressed residential market areas . For now, however, only Catalonia has shown its willingness to do so.

Now the majority of the autonomies are governed by parties contrary to the Law and have no intention of carrying out these measures in their territories.
